2026: Pin Oak MS is again for the third consecutive  year recognized by US News and World Report as one of the 2026 Best Public Schools in the country - top 1% in the state of Texas. 

2025: Academic UIL team earns top honors including 17 medals in their September 2025 meet. Medals won in Editorial Writing, Modern Oratory, Number Sense, Spelling, and Ready Writing.

2025: Over 600 families participated in our first annual World Language Expo where student works and projects were showcased to the community.

2025: Speech and Debate team received first place at their first district UIL meet. Earning first place rankings in Public Forum and Congressional Debate.

2025: Girls 8th grade volleyball continued their district domination by earning District Champions the fourth year in a row.

2025: Congratulations to Malley Lutschg, one of the 2025 iWRITE Publishing Contest winners! Her poem "Big and Small" will be published in Volume 16 of I Write Short Stories by Kids for Kids. An incredible honor and international recognition!

2025: Mrs. Girard, our 8th grade Integrated Physics and Chemistry teacher, wins Pin Oak Teacher of the Year 2025! She inspires, leads, and brings the magic every single day.

2025: Pin Oak MS earns TEA rating of "A" for the 2024-2025 school year, earning all distinctions including top academic achievement in math, science, social studies, and English language arts. Top 25% composite academic success of all Texas schools, top 25% of all Texas schools for "closing the gaps".

2025: Pin Oak MS starts the 2025-2026 school year with its highest enrollment in school history.

2025: Pin Oak adds its 15th high school credit class for the 2025-2026 school year.

2025: Pin Oak's Technology Student Association participated in the TSA national competition and were named TSA NATIONAL CHAMPIONS! Students took first place in Middle School Mass Production with a stackable, modular pet drawer system. We crushed it with Top 10 finishes in 5 events — Coding, Microcontrollers, Electrical Apps, Community Service Video & more — out of thousands nationwide!
