APPLICATION PATHWAYS
BOUNDARY OPTION
Families that are living within the zoned boundaries of the schools listed below have the option to apply for our boundary pathway.
- Pershing Middle School
- Jane Long Academy
- Meyerland Performing and Visual Arts Middle School
If you are unsure as to what school you are zoned to please visit the district's school finder website for your assigned zone.
MAGNET OPTION
Families that are living within the Houston ISD district boundaries have the option to apply for our Magnet pathway. It does not matter what school you are zoned to, any family can apply for the magnet option.
The magnet option is our most popular option.
There is NO academic difference between the two pathways. There are advanced courses offered to both boundary and magnet students. All students will participate in our world language wheel. They will have the option to choose their language for their focus and then when they leave us they will have completed at least one year of their (two) required high school language credits.
This resource is designed to provide you with a clearer understanding of how the lottery works, what your next steps should be after receiving your results, and how to participate in Phase 2 if necessary.
